Possible Causes

Battery deeply discharged, Battery cells degraded, Battery connector loose, Charging contacts dirty causing incomplete charging

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the robot is on a non-flammable surface while charging.

  • 1. Clean charging contacts: Wipe the robot's charging pads and the dock's metal contacts with a dry cloth to remove oxidation or dust.
  • 2. Force a long charge: Place the robot on the dock manually, ensuring the charging indicators light up. Leave it to charge uninterrupted for at least 4–6 hours.
  • 3. Power cycle: After charging, switch the robot OFF, wait 30 seconds, then switch it ON and try a short cleaning run.
  • 4. Inspect battery connection (advanced): Remove the bottom cover to access the battery compartment. Check that the battery plug is firmly seated in the main board connector.
  • 5. Replace battery: If the robot quickly reports low battery or E8 after a full charge, the Li-ion battery pack is likely worn out and should be replaced with a Yeedi-compatible pack of the same voltage and capacity.

Warning: Never puncture, crush, or short-circuit the battery pack. Dispose of old batteries according to local e-waste regulations.
