Yeedi Mobility / Obstacle Negotiation Issue

Robot vacuum frequently gets stuck on low thresholds, rugs, or cables.

Possible Causes

Worn or smooth drive wheel treads, Weak wheel motors, Excessive mop drag on carpets, Floor clutter (cables, tassels)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn the robot OFF before handling it.

  • 1. Inspect wheel treads: Check the rubber on the drive wheels for wear or smooth spots. Replace wheel modules if treads are badly worn.
  • 2. Reduce obstacles: Remove loose cables, rug tassels, and very lightweight rugs from the cleaning area.
  • 3. Adjust no-go zones: In the Yeedi app, set virtual boundaries around problem areas like high thresholds or thick rugs.
  • 4. Remove mop for carpets: If the robot struggles on carpets while mopping, remove the mop module when cleaning carpeted areas.
  • 5. Check wheel suspension: Ensure each wheel moves up and down freely; clean any debris from the suspension wells.

Warning: Forcing the robot over obstacles higher than specified can damage the wheel suspension and underside sensors.
