How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF before opening the top cover.
- 1. Test via app: Confirm that the robot responds to commands from the Yeedi app; if so, the issue is likely limited to the physical buttons.
- 2. Inspect button travel: Press each button and feel for normal click. If mushy or stuck, debris may be present.
- 3. Internal cleaning (advanced): Remove the top cover to access the button PCB. Clean around the buttons with a dry brush and compressed air.
- 4. Reseat ribbon cable: Ensure the cable from the button board to the main board is fully inserted and locked.
- 5. Replace button board: If buttons still fail or require excessive force, replace the top button PCB.
Warning: If there are signs of liquid spill inside, inspect the main board as well for corrosion.
