How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: This does not usually affect basic heating/cooling, but can disrupt schedules.
- Verify internet: Confirm other devices on the same Wi‑Fi network can access the internet.
- Check Alexa app: Open the Alexa app and ensure your Amazon account is logged in and online. Look for service outage notices.
- Reboot router and thermostat: Power cycle your router. Then remove the thermostat from the wall plate for 30 seconds and reseat it.
- Disable/enable schedules: In the Alexa app, turn schedules off, wait 1–2 minutes, then turn them back on to force a resync.
If E7 continues for more than 24 hours with a stable internet connection, contact Amazon support; a firmware or service-side issue may require an update or replacement.
