How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: No electrical work is required.

  • Check app permissions: On your smartphone, ensure the American Standard app has permission to access location "Always" or "While Using" as required for geofencing.
  • Verify home location: In the app or web portal, confirm that your home address and map pin are correct.
  • Sign out/in: Sign out of the app, then sign back in to refresh account tokens and sync with the thermostat.
  • Update app and firmware: Install the latest version of the American Standard app and check for thermostat firmware updates.

Note: E14 affects only smart features; basic thermostat operation remains normal.
