How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power to the thermostat before removing the cover.
- Step 1 – Dry the unit: Remove the front cover and allow the thermostat to dry in a warm, dry room. Do not use direct heat sources.
- Step 2 – Seal wall opening: Seal the cable entry hole behind the thermostat with foam or putty to prevent moist air from the wall cavity reaching the electronics.
- Step 3 – Improve location: Avoid installing the thermostat in bathrooms or directly on uninsulated exterior walls. Relocate if necessary.
- Step 4 – Inspect for damage: If corrosion is visible on the PCB, the thermostat may fail prematurely and should be replaced.
