Possible Causes
Severe drift of internal NTC sensor, Incorrect calibration values stored in memory, PCB damage affecting sensor reference, Firmware bug in calibration routine
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing the thermostat from the wall.
- Step 1 – Compare readings: Place a reliable thermometer next to the thermostat and compare readings. If the difference is small (1–2°C), use the thermostat’s temperature offset setting to correct it.
- Step 2 – Factory reset: Perform a factory reset to clear any corrupted calibration data. Reconfigure basic settings afterward.
- Step 3 – Firmware update: Update the thermostat firmware via the Atlantic app to ensure the latest calibration algorithms are used.
- Step 4 – Inspect PCB: If the error persists, inspect the UI PCB for damage around the sensor and reference components (resistors, reference IC). Any burn marks or corrosion indicate the need for replacement.
- Step 5 – Replace front module: If calibration cannot be restored and E14 remains, replace the thermostat front/user interface module containing the sensor.
