Auto‑Changeover Misconfiguration or Sensor Error
Thermostat randomly switches between heating and cooling modes without user input.

Possible Causes
Auto mode enabled with narrow deadband, Faulty internal temperature sensor, Incorrect system type (heat pump vs conventional), Firmware bug
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal electrical work is required.
- Step 1 – Check mode: If the thermostat is in Auto mode, switch to Heat or Cool only to prevent automatic changeover.
- Step 2 – Adjust deadband: Increase the auto‑changeover deadband (temperature gap between heating and cooling setpoints) in the installer menu.
- Step 3 – Verify sensor accuracy: Compare the thermostat reading with a separate thermometer. If inaccurate, apply an offset or replace the thermostat if the sensor is faulty.
- Step 4 – Firmware update: Update firmware via the Atlantic app to correct any known auto‑mode issues.
