Bosch EasyControl
Poor Temperature Control / Overshoot
Bosch EasyControl appears to work, but room temperature overshoots the setpoint by several degrees before the boiler turns off.

Possible Causes
Incorrect control algorithm settings, EasyControl installed in poor location, Boiler minimum output too high for system, Slow-response emitters (e.g., underfloor) without proper compensation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No immediate electrical risk; adjustments are via app and installer menu.
- 1. Check location: Ensure EasyControl is in a representative room, away from direct heat sources or draughts.
- 2. Adjust control parameters: In installer settings, enable or fine-tune weather compensation and room influence, and ensure the correct system type (radiators vs underfloor) is selected.
- 3. Lower flow temperature: Reduce the maximum flow temperature on the boiler or via EasyControl to reduce overshoot, especially with underfloor heating.
- 4. Use thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs): Ensure Bosch Smart Radiator Thermostats or manual TRVs are correctly set in other rooms to prevent overheating.
Professional help: If overshoot persists, a heating engineer can optimize boiler modulation settings and hydraulic balancing.
