Possible Causes
Cold draught behind thermostat, Mounted on external wall, Sensor calibration drift, Wiring hole not sealed behind wall plate
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power before removing the thermostat from the wall.
- 1. Compare with thermometer: Place a separate thermometer near the EasyControl and compare readings.
- 2. Seal wall opening: Remove the EasyControl and seal any large gaps in the wall box or cable entry with non-combustible filler to stop cold air from behind.
- 3. Relocate if necessary: If installed on an external wall or in a draughty hallway, consider moving it to a more central, representative room.
- 4. Apply small offset: Use the installer menu to apply a minor temperature offset if the difference is consistent and small.
Professional help: If readings remain significantly wrong, the internal sensor may be faulty and the unit should be replaced.
