Possible Causes

Home Wi‑Fi router offline or no internet access, Incorrect Wi‑Fi password or SSID changed, Router firewall or AP isolation blocking outbound traffic, Bosch server temporary outage

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: This is a low‑voltage control device. You normally do not need to open the thermostat. If you must access wiring, switch off power to the HVAC system at the breaker before touching any wires.

  • Check home internet: Confirm other devices (phone/laptop) can browse the internet on the same Wi‑Fi network. If not, reboot the modem and router.
  • Verify Wi‑Fi credentials: If you recently changed your Wi‑Fi name (SSID) or password, open the Bosch app and re‑run the Wi‑Fi setup wizard to reconnect the thermostat to the correct network.
  • Router settings: Ensure the thermostat is not blocked by MAC filtering, parental controls, or guest network isolation. Disable AP isolation and ensure 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi is enabled (many Bosch thermostats only support 2.4 GHz).
  • Reboot thermostat: Power cycle the thermostat by turning off the HVAC breaker for 30–60 seconds, then restore power and allow the thermostat to reconnect.
  • Check Bosch service status: If all else fails, wait 30–60 minutes in case of a Bosch cloud outage, then try again.
