Possible Causes
Depleted batteries, Internal motor failure, Broken gear train, Firmware not issuing drive commands
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove batteries before removing the thermostat from the valve.
Steps:
- Replace batteries: Install new alkaline batteries and wait for the thermostat to start calibration.
- Listen for motor: After inserting batteries, listen for motor movement. If silent, attempt a factory reset via the button sequence.
- Check for obstruction: Remove the thermostat and ensure nothing is blocking the drive spindle.
- Replace thermostat: If the motor never runs despite correct power and reset, the motor or drive electronics are faulty; replace the Ally radiator thermostat.
