Possible Causes
Worn or damaged button contacts, Dirt or debris under keypad, Moisture ingress, PCB switch failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove power or batteries before handling the thermostat. Do not pry open sealed parts beyond what the manual allows.
Steps:
- Check for lock mode: Ensure child lock or keypad lock is not enabled in the Ally app or thermostat settings.
- Power cycle: Remove power for a few minutes and restore to clear any temporary software lock.
- Dry and clean: If the thermostat has been exposed to moisture, remove it from the wall and allow it to dry in a warm, dry place for 24 hours.
- Replace unit: If buttons remain unresponsive, the internal switches or keypad membrane are faulty; replace the thermostat.
