Possible Causes
Floor sensor not installed or not connected, Maximum floor temperature limit set too high, Thermostat configured to use room sensor only, Stuck open actuator on manifold
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Overheated floors can damage flooring and pose a burn risk. Reduce heating immediately.
Steps:
- Lower setpoint: Immediately reduce the thermostat setpoint or switch the zone off.
- Verify floor sensor: Check that a Danfoss floor sensor is installed and correctly wired to the thermostat. If not, install one if required by the floor manufacturer.
- Adjust limits: In the installer menu, set a safe maximum floor temperature (typically 27–29°C for wooden floors, per manufacturer guidance).
- Inspect actuators: Check the underfloor manifold actuators controlled by Ally. Replace any actuator that remains open when it should be closed.
