Possible Causes
Thermostat installed near heat source or draft, Internal sensor drift, Incorrect calibration offset, Blocked air vents on thermostat
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Low risk; only isolate power if relocating a mains-powered thermostat.
- Check location: Ensure the thermostat is away from radiators, direct sunlight, exterior doors, and drafts.
- Unblock vents: Make sure the thermostat’s air vents are not covered by curtains, furniture, or dust.
- Adjust calibration: Use the temperature calibration menu to correct small offsets (±1–2°C) based on a reference thermometer.
- Relocate if necessary: If the location is inherently unsuitable, have the thermostat moved to an interior wall at about 1.5 m height.
If readings remain erratic, the internal sensor may be defective and the thermostat should be replaced.
