Possible Causes
Failed Wi‑Fi module, Antenna damage, Firmware bug in network stack, Excessive RF interference at 2.4 GHz
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Network troubleshooting does not usually require power isolation, but do not open mains-powered hubs without isolating power.
- Check router and SSID: Ensure the Wi‑Fi network is 2.4 GHz, broadcasting SSID, and that the password is correct. Wiser does not support some 5 GHz-only setups.
- Reduce interference: Move the Wiser HubR away from metal objects, thick walls, and other RF devices. Ensure the thermostat is within range.
- Reboot and reset: Power-cycle the Wiser HubR and thermostat. If E10 persists, perform a network reset via the app or device buttons and re-add the thermostat.
- Firmware update: Use the Wiser app to check for firmware updates for the HubR and thermostats.
- Replace if hardware fault: If no device can connect and E10 remains after resets and updates, the Wi‑Fi module may be defective. Replace the Wiser HubR or affected thermostat.
