Possible Causes
Faulty hot water relay in Drayton Heat HubR, Open circuit to hot water zone valve, Cylinder thermostat wired incorrectly, Cylinder sensor fault not flagged
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate mains power before working on wiring centres, valves, or the Heat HubR.
- Check Heat HubR LEDs: When hot water is demanded, the HW LED on the Heat HubR should light and a relay click should be heard. If not, check configuration and re-pair if needed.
- Inspect wiring: Verify wiring from the Heat HubR hot water output to the cylinder zone valve or boiler input. Tighten loose connections.
- Test valve operation: Manually move the lever on the hot water zone valve to the open position and see if the cylinder heats. If it does, the valve motor or wiring may be faulty.
- Replace faulty component: Replace the Heat HubR if the HW relay does not operate, or replace the hot water zone valve if it does not open under power.
