Possible Causes

No internal backup battery or capacitor, Failed RTC backup component, Frequent power interruptions, Incorrect time zone settings in app

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate mains before opening mains-powered thermostats.

  • Set correct time: Manually set the time and date on the thermostat or via the Wiser app. Ensure the correct time zone is selected.
  • Check backup: On models with backup cells, inspect for leakage or failure. These may require replacement of the front module.
  • Use app/cloud time: For Wiser systems, ensure the HubR is online so that time is synchronised from the internet.
  • Stabilise power: If power cuts are frequent, consider fitting an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to the router and HubR.
