How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power to the furnace/air handler before removing the thermostat from the wall. Do not open the thermostat casing.

- Step 2 – Reduce screen brightness: In Settings > Preferences, lower the screen brightness and active display time.
- Step 3 – Check for electrical issues: Ensure no high-voltage wiring is routed in the same box as the thermostat low-voltage wiring.
- Step 4 – Relocate thermostat if necessary: Move the ecobee to an interior wall away from heat sources for accurate readings and safety.
