- 2. Power cycle: Turn off the HVAC breaker for 2–3 minutes, then restore power and see if the touchscreen responds.
- 3. Check for physical damage: Inspect the screen for cracks, impact marks, or signs of liquid intrusion.
- 4. Remove and reseat: Remove the thermostat from the wall plate and firmly reseat it to ensure good contact between the display module and sub-base pins.
- 5. Use app as workaround: If the thermostat still responds via the Emerson app, you may temporarily control the system that way while arranging replacement.
