Possible Causes
Lost pairing between thermostat and Eurotronic actuator, Radio interference on 868/2.4 GHz band, Actuator out of range or powered off, Faulty RF module in thermostat or actuator
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No mains work is required for RF troubleshooting, but always follow manufacturer instructions.
- Check power to actuator: Ensure the Eurotronic actuator (TRV or wall module) has fresh batteries or mains power. Replace batteries if low.
- Reduce distance and obstacles: Temporarily move the thermostat closer to the actuator, avoiding thick walls or metal cabinets. Test communication again.
- Re-pair devices: Put the thermostat into pairing mode (see Eurotronic manual) and then put the actuator into learn mode. Confirm that they rejoin the same network.
- Check for interference: Turn off or move away Wi‑Fi routers, cordless phones, or other RF devices near the thermostat to see if E6 clears.
- Replace RF module/device: If other devices pair correctly but one actuator always fails, replace that actuator. If none can pair, the thermostat’s RF module may be defective and the thermostat should be replaced.
