Possible Causes
Room temperature above measurement range, Internal NTC sensor shorted, Thermostat installed directly above radiator or in sun, Faulty sensor calibration on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Avoid touching hot radiators or pipes with bare hands.
- Verify actual temperature: Use a separate thermometer to check room temperature. If normal but display shows 'Hi', the sensor is likely faulty or mispositioned.
- Relocate thermostat: If installed above a radiator or in direct sunlight, move the thermostat to an interior wall away from heat sources.
- Inspect housing: Ensure the thermostat vents are not blocked and that warm air from radiators is not trapped behind curtains.
- Reset device: Perform a factory reset and reconfigure. If 'Hi' persists, the internal sensor or PCB is defective.
- Replace thermostat: Replace the unit if sensor failure is confirmed.
