How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Remove power or batteries before opening the housing.
- Check for lock mode: Ensure child lock or keypad lock is not enabled. Disable it via the documented key combination.
- Clean around buttons: Use a soft brush to remove dust and debris around buttons and the knob. Do not use excessive liquid.
- Open and inspect: Carefully open the thermostat and check the UI board and ribbon cable for loose connections or visible damage.
- Reseat connectors: Gently unplug and replug any ribbon cables between the UI board and main PCB.
- Replace thermostat/UI board: If buttons remain unresponsive, the keypad or encoder is defective. Replace the thermostat or UI board if available as a spare.
