Possible Causes
Failed internal NTC sensor on thermostat PCB, Moisture ingress into thermostat casing, Loose or oxidized sensor connection on thermostat board, Firmware misreading sensor due to electrical noise
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Work only on the low‑voltage thermostat. Isolate power to the thermostat receiver before removing the room unit from its base.
- Power reset:
- Remove the thermostat from its wall base (if it is a plug‑on type) or remove batteries if battery powered.
- Wait 1–2 minutes, then refit and power up.
- Check if F01 clears.
- Check for condensation or moisture:
- Inspect the thermostat housing for signs of damp, condensation, or water ingress (often from a cold external wall).
- If damp is present, relocate the thermostat to an internal wall away from drafts and moisture sources.
- Inspect mounting and wiring:
- Ensure the thermostat is not mounted directly above a radiator or in direct sunlight, which can stress the sensor.
- If there are low‑voltage wires to the thermostat, confirm they are firmly connected and not pinched.
- If F01 persists:
- The internal NTC sensor is likely defective.
- Replace the Ferroli smart room thermostat or have the PCB/NTC replaced by a service center.
