Ferroli
Poor Thermostat Placement / Thermal Lag
Room temperature overshoots setpoint by several degrees; rooms become too hot before boiler switches off.

Possible Causes
Thermostat installed near a cold draft or on an external wall, Thermostat placed behind curtains or furniture, High thermal mass system (underfloor heating) with no optimized control, Incorrect hysteresis or heating curve settings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Low‑risk adjustment and relocation work only.
- Check thermostat location:
- Ensure the Ferroli thermostat is on an internal wall, about 1.5 m above floor level.
- Avoid locations near doors, windows, radiators, or direct sunlight.
- Relocate if necessary:
- Have a competent person move the thermostat base and low‑voltage wiring to a better location.
- Adjust control parameters:
- Reduce the heating curve or maximum flow temperature for underfloor systems.
- Decrease hysteresis so the boiler turns off closer to the setpoint.
- Monitor performance:
- After changes, observe room temperature over several cycles and fine‑tune settings.
