Thermostat buttons or touch interface do not respond

Safety first: No mains exposure is needed if you do not remove the thermostat.

Steps to restore button/touch response:

• 1. Reboot the thermostat:
  • Turn off power at the breaker for 1–2 minutes and restore.
• 2. Try app control:
  • Use the Fibaro app to change temperature and modes.
  • If app control works, the issue is limited to the local interface.
• 3. Clean the surface:
  • Wipe the front panel with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dirt or residue that may affect touch sensitivity.
• 4. Check for physical damage:
  • Inspect for cracks or impact marks on the front panel.
• 5. Replace front interface module:
  • If buttons remain unresponsive, the keypad/touch controller is likely faulty and the front module or entire thermostat should be replaced.

When to call a professional: If the thermostat is part of a managed building system, coordinate replacement with the system integrator to maintain configuration.
