Fibaro
Inclusion Failure
Thermostat cannot be added (included) to Fibaro Z‑Wave network
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Device not in inclusion mode, Z‑Wave network at capacity, Incorrect frequency region, Previous inclusion not properly cleared
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No mains wiring changes are needed.
Steps to resolve inclusion issues:
- 1. Exclude first:
- Use the Fibaro controller to perform an exclusion on the thermostat, even if it was never included.
- 2. Factory reset:
- Reset the thermostat to factory defaults following the manual.
- 3. Bring controller close:
- Perform inclusion with the controller or a portable inclusion device within a few meters of the thermostat.
- 4. Check region/frequency:
- Ensure the thermostat's Z‑Wave frequency matches your controller's region (e.g., EU vs US).
- 5. Clear network capacity:
- If the controller is near its device limit, remove unused nodes.
When to call a professional: For large networks or persistent inclusion problems, a Fibaro integrator can analyze controller logs and RF conditions.
