Thermostat display is on but touch screen is unresponsive or only responds intermittently.

Safety first: Turn off HVAC power at the breaker before removing the thermostat from the wall plate.

• Step 1 – Reboot thermostat: Remove the thermostat from the wall plate for 30 seconds, then reattach. Test touch response after reboot.
• Step 2 – Clean screen: Gently clean the screen with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Do not use liquids that could seep into the edges.
• Step 3 – Check for physical damage: Inspect the screen for cracks, warping, or signs of impact. If present, the touch panel is likely damaged.
• Step 4 – Firmware update: If you can navigate via the app, update the thermostat firmware to the latest version to correct any touch controller bugs.
• Step 5 – Replace thermostat: If the touch remains unresponsive despite power cycling and updates, the touch digitizer or its connector is faulty. Replace the thermostat head unit.
