Possible Causes
Loose display ribbon cable inside GLAS, Cracked or damaged touch digitizer, Firmware touch driver crash, Electrostatic discharge damage to touch controller
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not attempt to open the GLAS glass panel; this can crack the display and void warranties.
- Step 1 – Clean the screen: Gently wipe the screen with a dry microfiber cloth to remove oils or moisture that may interfere with touch.
- Step 2 – Remove screen protectors: If any aftermarket screen protector or film is installed, remove it and test touch again.
- Step 3 – Reboot: Remove GLAS from the wall plate for 60 seconds, then reattach to reboot the device.
- Step 4 – Test in different areas: Try tapping different parts of the screen to see if only certain zones are unresponsive, indicating physical damage.
- Step 5 – Replace thermostat: If P020 persists and touch remains unreliable, the digitizer or internal display connector is likely damaged. Replace the GLAS thermostat assembly.
