Possible Causes
Cracked or damaged glass, Contamination or moisture on touch surface, Internal digitizer failure, Loose display connector inside GLAS
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not pry open the glass panel; this can cause permanent damage.
- Step 1 – Clean the screen: Gently wipe with a dry microfiber cloth. Do not use liquids or sprays directly on the thermostat.
- Step 2 – Remove any covers: If a screen protector or decorative cover is installed, remove it and test touch again.
- Step 3 – Reboot: Remove GLAS from the wall plate for 60 seconds, then reattach.
- Step 4 – Test different areas: Try tapping different parts of the screen. If only certain areas fail, the digitizer is likely damaged.
- Step 5 – Replace thermostat: Persistent touch issues indicate a failed touchscreen assembly. Replace the GLAS thermostat.
