GLAS
Unstable Wi‑Fi Connection
Thermostat frequently disconnects from Wi‑Fi and then reconnects; remote control via app is unreliable.

Possible Causes
Weak Wi‑Fi signal at thermostat, Router channel congestion, Router power‑saving or band‑steering issues, Internal Wi‑Fi module instability
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Network troubleshooting only.
- Step 1 – Check signal strength: Stand near GLAS with a phone and check Wi‑Fi signal. If weak, move the router closer or add a mesh node.
- Step 2 – Change Wi‑Fi channel: Log into your router and set the 2.4 GHz channel to a less congested one (1, 6, or 11). Avoid auto channel if it changes frequently.
- Step 3 – Disable band steering: If your router combines 2.4 and 5 GHz under one SSID, try separating them and connect GLAS to the 2.4 GHz band.
- Step 4 – Static IP (optional): Assign a DHCP reservation or static IP to GLAS to reduce reconnect issues.
- Step 5 – Firmware update: Update both router firmware and GLAS firmware.
- Step 6 – Replace thermostat: If all network optimizations fail and other devices are stable, the GLAS Wi‑Fi module may be failing. Replace the thermostat.
