Possible Causes

Incorrect Wi‑Fi password, Weak Wi‑Fi signal at thermostat location, Router MAC filtering or firewall blocking thermostat, Faulty Wi‑Fi module in thermostat

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: No mains work is required for Wi‑Fi troubleshooting. Do not open the thermostat casing beyond user‑accessible battery compartments.

Steps:

  • Verify that your home Wi‑Fi network is working by connecting another device (phone or laptop) in the same room as the thermostat.
  • Check the thermostat’s network settings and re‑enter the Wi‑Fi SSID and password carefully, paying attention to case sensitivity.
  • Move the Wi‑Fi router closer to the thermostat or add a Wi‑Fi extender to improve signal strength. Avoid placing the router behind metal objects or inside cupboards.
  • Ensure the router is not blocking new devices via MAC filtering. If in doubt, temporarily disable MAC filtering or add the thermostat’s MAC address to the allowed list.
  • Reboot the router and then reboot the thermostat (power‑cycle or use the reset option in the menu).

Remedy:

  • If F.07 persists and other devices connect fine, the thermostat’s Wi‑Fi module may be faulty. Replace the thermostat head with a compatible Glow‑worm smart thermostat.
  • Alternatively, if your model uses a separate Glow‑worm internet gateway, check and replace that gateway if its status LEDs indicate a fault.
