Thermostat batteries drain much faster than expected

Safety: Only battery replacement and settings changes are needed.

Steps:

• Use fresh, branded alkaline batteries and ensure they are within expiry date.
• Reduce backlight brightness and timeout in the thermostat settings.
• Improve RF signal by relocating the receiver closer or reducing obstacles between thermostat and receiver.
• Check for firmware updates that may address known battery drain issues.

Remedy:

• If batteries still drain within weeks, the thermostat may have an internal fault. Replace the thermostat head.
