Possible Causes
Failed capacitive touch sensor, Stuck mechanical buttons, Firmware freeze, Contamination or moisture under front panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Only user‑level handling is required. Do not pry open the sealed front panel.
Steps:
- Remove the thermostat from its backplate (if applicable), wait 30 seconds, then refit to force a reboot.
- If the thermostat has a reset pinhole, use a paperclip to perform a soft reset as per the manual.
- Wipe the front panel with a dry, lint‑free cloth to remove any moisture or grease that may affect touch sensitivity.
- Check if any physical buttons are jammed; gently press and release each one several times.
Remedy:
- If the interface remains unresponsive after reset and cleaning, the touch panel or UI controller is defective. Replace the thermostat head.
