Scheduling or Program Execution Failure
Thermostat does not follow programmed schedule; stays at one temperature
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Schedule disabled in settings, Thermostat set to permanent hold, Incorrect time/day settings, Corrupted schedule data
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No electrical work is required.
Steps to restore schedule operation:
- 1. Check hold status: On the thermostat, verify it is not in "Hold" or "Permanent Hold" mode. Cancel hold to resume schedule.
- 2. Verify schedule enabled: In settings, ensure scheduling is turned on and the correct schedule type (weekday/weekend, 7-day, etc.) is selected.
- 3. Confirm time and day: Make sure the thermostat's clock and day of week are correct; incorrect time can cause schedule events to appear missed.
- 4. Recreate schedule: Delete all existing schedule entries and re-enter them manually or via the Goodman app.
- 5. Factory reset: If the thermostat still ignores schedules, perform a factory reset and reconfigure the system and schedule.
