• 1. Compare with hygrometer: Place a known-good hygrometer near the thermostat and compare readings after 30 minutes.
• 2. Inspect for moisture: Remove the thermostat and check for condensation or water damage. Allow the unit to dry thoroughly if moisture is present.
• 3. Avoid contaminants: Do not spray cleaners or air fresheners directly near the thermostat; vapors can coat the sensor.
• 4. Reset and recalibrate: Perform a factory reset and see if humidity readings improve. Adjust any available humidity offset settings.
• 5. Replace thermostat: If the humidity sensor remains stuck or far off, the internal sensor is likely failed and the thermostat should be replaced.
