Thermostat fails to detect or use external room sensor (if model supports remote sensors)

• Step 1 – Confirm compatibility:
  • Ensure you are using a Gosund‑compatible remote room sensor designed for your thermostat model.
• Step 2 – Pair sensor:
  • Put the thermostat into sensor pairing mode (see manual).
  • Activate the sensor (insert batteries or press pairing button) and wait for it to appear.
• Step 3 – Check batteries and distance:
  • Install fresh batteries in the sensor.
  • Move the sensor closer to the thermostat to rule out range issues.
• Step 4 – Reduce interference:
  • Keep the sensor away from metal surfaces and Wi‑Fi routers that may interfere.
• Step 5 – Replace sensor or thermostat radio if needed:
  • If other sensors pair fine, replace the faulty sensor.
  • If no sensors can pair, the thermostat’s sensor radio module may be defective; replace the thermostat.
