Possible Causes
Floor sensor not connected to NTC terminals, Wrong sensor type selected in menu, Sensor cable connected to wrong terminals, Broken conductor at sensor end
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power at the breaker before touching wiring.
Steps to troubleshoot:
- 1. Confirm sensor connection:
- Remove the thermostat and locate the NTC floor sensor terminals.
- Ensure the sensor wires are actually connected there and not to external sensor or other terminals.
- 2. Check configuration:
- Turn power back on (without touching live parts) and enter the installer menu.
- Verify that floor sensor is enabled and the correct sensor type (e.g. NTC 10k) is selected.
- 3. Test sensor continuity:
- Power OFF again, disconnect sensor wires, and measure resistance with a multimeter.
- If the reading is infinite (open), the sensor or cable is broken and must be replaced.
- 4. Replace sensor if needed:
- Install a new Heatit NTC floor sensor and connect to the correct terminals.
- 5. Clear error:
- Restore power and verify that Er1 disappears and a valid floor temperature is shown.
