Possible Causes

Floor or room extremely cold (below sensor spec), Sensor cable routed outdoors or into unheated cavity, Wrong sensor type configured, Sensor partially open circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF power at the breaker before accessing wiring.

Steps to troubleshoot:

  • 1. Verify actual temperature:
    • Use an external thermometer to measure room or floor temperature.
    • If the environment is not extremely cold, the sensor reading is likely faulty.
  • 2. Check sensor configuration:
    • Ensure the correct sensor type (NTC value) is selected in the installer menu.
  • 3. Inspect sensor routing:
    • Confirm the sensor cable is routed only within the heated area and not into an unheated void or outside wall.
  • 4. Measure sensor resistance:
    • Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance; compare with the NTC curve.
    • If resistance is much higher than expected, replace the sensor.
