Heatmiser Cloud / Server Communication Error

Thermostat shows E08 and fails to join the Heatmiser Neo or cloud service

Possible Causes

Router blocking outbound ports, DNS issues, Incorrect time/date on router, Firmware incompatibility with cloud service

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: No mains work required. Do not open the thermostat.

Steps:

  • Check that your internet connection is working on other devices.
  • Restart your router and any Heatmiser NeoHub or gateway in the system.
  • Ensure that firewall settings on the router are not blocking outbound connections for the thermostat or NeoHub.
  • Update the thermostat and NeoHub firmware to the latest versions via the Heatmiser app or web interface.
  • If using a corporate or highly restricted network, move the thermostat to a standard home router environment.

If E08 continues after network checks, contact Heatmiser support as the issue may be server-side or require a firmware patch.
