Possible Causes

Loose ribbon cable between PCB and touch panel, Cracked front glass or touch layer, Liquid ingress on front panel, Failed touch controller IC

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate power before removing the thermostat from the wall. Opening the front panel beyond normal removal may void warranty.

Steps:

  • Remove the thermostat from the wall plate and gently clean the front surface with a dry, lint-free cloth to remove moisture or contamination.
  • Check for visible cracks or damage to the glass or plastic touch surface.
  • If you are qualified and the design allows, carefully check that any ribbon cable between the front panel and PCB is fully seated.
  • If the panel remains unresponsive and E13 persists, the front assembly or main PCB is defective. Replace the thermostat.
