Possible Causes
Interrupted firmware update, App sync failure, Internal memory corruption in thermostat, Time/date misconfiguration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No mains work is required for this issue.
- Check time and date: On the thermostat and in the app, verify that the time, date, and time zone are correct. Correct them if necessary.
- Clear and recreate schedule: Delete the existing heating schedule in the Hive app and create a new one from scratch. Sync to the thermostat.
- Firmware update: Check for and apply any available firmware updates for the thermostat and hub.
- Factory reset: If errors persist, perform a factory reset of the thermostat (per Hive instructions) and re-add it to your Hive account, then reprogram schedules.
- When to call a pro: If the thermostat repeatedly loses or corrupts schedules after reset, the internal memory may be failing and the thermostat should be replaced.
