Room temperature reading on Hive thermostat is clearly inaccurate (too high or too low)

• Verify with separate thermometer: Place an accurate thermometer near the thermostat and compare readings after 15–20 minutes.
• Check location: Ensure the thermostat is on an interior wall, away from radiators, direct sunlight, fireplaces, and external doors or windows.
• Adjust offset (if available): Some Hive models allow a temperature offset in settings. Apply a small correction based on your comparison.
• Relocate thermostat: If location is poor, move the thermostat to a better position following Hive’s installation guidelines.
• When to call a pro: If readings remain wildly inaccurate, the internal sensor may be faulty and the thermostat should be replaced.
