How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Note: This is a network/app configuration issue.

  • Use 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi: Ensure your phone and thermostat are connecting to a 2.4 GHz network, as many Honeywell Home thermostats do not support 5 GHz.
  • Verify credentials: Double‑check the Wi‑Fi password and SSID entered during setup.
  • Remove old account link: If the thermostat was previously registered, remove it from the old Honeywell Home account or perform a factory reset to clear registration.
  • Retry with strong signal: Stand near the thermostat with your phone during setup to ensure good Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth (if used) signal.
  • Wait and retry: If Honeywell cloud services are temporarily unavailable, wait 30–60 minutes and try again.
