- Check router firewall: Allow outbound connections for the thermostat. Avoid overly restrictive firewall rules or parental controls on the thermostat’s IP.
- Assign static DHCP lease: In your router, reserve a fixed IP address for the thermostat to reduce connection drops.
- Update firmware: Use the Honeywell Home app to check for and install firmware updates.
- Relocate router: Improve Wi‑Fi signal at the thermostat by moving the router or adding an extender.
