Possible Causes

Faulty DHW relay on thermostat, Shorted DHW valve or relay coil, Miswired DHW control terminals on boiler, Damaged tracks on thermostat PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off all power before opening the thermostat or boiler terminal cover.

  • Step 1 – Confirm DHW mode: Check thermostat settings to ensure DHW comfort or scheduling is enabled and correctly configured.
  • Step 2 – Inspect wiring: At the boiler, verify that the DHW control terminals from the thermostat (if used) are correctly wired according to the Immergas wiring diagram.
  • Step 3 – Isolate DHW load: Disconnect the DHW valve or relay coil from the thermostat output. Power up and see if E06 clears. If it does, the external DHW component is likely faulty.
  • Step 4 – Test DHW component: Have a technician measure coil resistance and check for shorts to earth. Replace any defective DHW valve or relay.
  • Step 5 – Replace thermostat: If E06 remains with no load connected and wiring is correct, the thermostat DHW output is damaged and the thermostat should be replaced.
