Possible Causes
Open or shorted Immergas floor NTC sensor, Sensor cable damaged in screed or conduit, Incorrect sensor terminals used, Loose terminal screws at thermostat
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power to the thermostat before working on sensor wiring.
- Step 1 – Check terminals: Remove the thermostat front and verify the floor sensor wires are firmly connected to the designated sensor terminals (often marked S1/S2 or NTC).
- Step 2 – Measure resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure its resistance with a multimeter. Compare to Immergas NTC specifications for the approximate floor temperature.
- Step 3 – Inspect cable path: If the sensor is in a conduit, check for pinched or cut cable at entry/exit points. Repair or replace accessible sections.
- Step 4 – Replace sensor: If the sensor is open/shorted, install a new Immergas-compatible floor NTC sensor. Route it in a protective conduit if possible.
- Step 5 – Reconfigure mode: In the thermostat menu, ensure floor sensor mode is enabled only if a sensor is actually installed. Disable it if not used to avoid E11.
