Possible Causes
Corrupted EEPROM/flash memory, Firmware bug, Voltage spikes on power supply, Defective thermostat main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before opening the thermostat.
- Step 1 – Check power stability: Ensure the thermostat supply (from boiler or separate transformer) is stable and not dropping out intermittently.
- Step 2 – Firmware update: Use the Immergas app or service tool to update the thermostat firmware to the latest version.
- Step 3 – Factory reset: Perform a full factory reset and reprogram schedules. Monitor if E13 reappears after a power cycle.
- Step 4 – Surge protection: If your area has unstable mains, consider installing a surge protector on the boiler/thermostat supply.
- Step 5 – Replace thermostat: Persistent E13 indicates failing memory on the PCB; replace the thermostat.
