Installed in a very humid room (bathroom, kitchen), Wall dampness behind thermostat, Poor sealing of housing, Rapid temperature changes causing condensation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before removing the thermostat from the wall.
- Step 1 – Dry environment: Improve room ventilation and avoid installing the thermostat in bathrooms or directly above cooking areas.
- Step 2 – Remove and dry: Take the thermostat off the wall and allow it to dry in a warm, dry room for 24 hours. Do not use direct heat sources.
- Step 3 – Check wall: Inspect the wall for dampness or water leaks. Resolve any building moisture issues.
- Step 4 – Replace if damaged: If corrosion is visible on the PCB or the thermostat malfunctions after drying, replace the unit.
