How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before working on sensor wiring.
- Step 1 – Enable sensor feature: In the installer menu, enable the remote room sensor option and select the correct sensor type specified by Johnson Controls.
- Step 2 – Inspect wiring: Verify that the sensor wires are connected to the correct sensor terminals at the thermostat and at the sensor.
- Step 3 – Measure resistance: With wires disconnected, measure resistance across the sensor and compare to the Johnson Controls sensor chart. Replace the remote room sensor if readings are out of range.
- Step 4 – Check cable continuity: Test continuity of each conductor from thermostat to sensor. Repair or replace damaged cable.
